Future home of the James River Valley Library System which will combine both the Stutman County Library Location & Current Location.

THE JRVLS BOOKMOBILE

The Bookmobile visits 23 locations throughout Stutsman County each month.

 

Nine are Early Education Locations:

  • Bright Beginnings 

  • Building Blocks

  • Child In Our Hands

  • Community Action

  • Forever Friends Daycare

  • Head Start

  • The Learning Center

  • Tracie's Daycare

  • Victory Lutheran Pre-School

 

Eight are Adult Locations:

  • Eventide

  • Heritage Center

  • James House

  • Legacy Center

  • Real Truck

  • Rock of Ages

  • Streeter

  • Woodworth

 

Six are K-12 Education Locations:

  • Buchanan

  • Hillcrest

  • Kensal

  • Medina

  • Montpelier

  • Pingree

 

There are 9,359 registered Library patrons in Stutsman County. 1,261 are patrons of Bookmobile services. 

 

On the day the Bookmobile travels, it is 35% of the Library's total circulation, over 2,000 items per month.

 

The current Bookmobile is over 20 years old. It has travelled 117,428 miles.

 

The new Bookmobile will utilize changeable charts to meet the needs of patrons visited.

The Friends will provide support to the Library Staff & Board ensuring James River Valley Library System is the best rural Library System in the United States.

STRATEGY

Enlist the support of local and regional Library advocates to reach the citizens of Stutsman County. Include representatives from Agricultural Business, the Automotive Industry, Communications, Education, Entrepreneurs, Farming, Finance, Food, Health Care, Hunting, Law, Local Service Clubs, Manufacturing, Real Estate, Retail and more.
